She rose to prominence as a content creator on TikTok in 2019, amassing over 88 million followers, making her the fifth most-followed individual on the platform, as of 2025. She appeared in films including the Netflix comedy film He's All That (2021) and the horror film Thanksgiving (2023).
In 2021, she released her critically panned debut single, "Obsessed", which was later included on her debut EP AR (2023). In 2024, after showing her binder during a meeting, she signed with Columbia Records and released the single "Diet Pepsi", which received critical praise and peaked at number 54 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The song preceded her debut studio album Addison (2025) which received positive reviews and debuted at number four on the Billboard 200. She went on to receive a nomination for Best New Artist at the 68th Grammy Awards.
Addison Rae Easterling was born on October 6, 2000, and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, to parents Monty Lopez and Sheri Easterling. Through her father, she is of Mexican, Cajun French, and English descent. Rae has two younger brothers, Enzo Lopez and Lucas Lopez, and an older half-sister, Macye Neumeyer, who has two daughters of her own. Rae's parents initially divorced when she was younger and were on and off often throughout her childhood, before remarrying in 2017, later divorcing again in 2022.
